ASSA

ASSA (Albert Square & St Stephen's Association) is a community made up of homeowners, tenants and private landlords, plus housing association and NHS Trust properties. Enthusiastic to make a difference, they aim to reduce the community's carbon footprint by 60% through energy efficiency and low carbon energy generation.

ASSA recognises that behavioural changes are important and there are a number of measures in place to encourage the maintenance of these in the longer term. However, success also needs technology and infrastructure change.

They have chosen Green Homes Concierge as a key partner in delivering this programme, which has a joint focus on economic benefit to the individual and more altruistic environmental benefits. Green Homes Concierge will identify the required improvements and use its sourcing expertise and bulk buying to achieve the maximum possible discounts.

According to ASSA's Chris Morrison, "Most residents lack the time, personal commitment and skills to research the most appropriate measures and apply for grants. Our partnership with Green Homes Concierge aims to resolve this issue, as they are able to assess the most appropriate measures for each house."

Rotary Clubs

Green Homes Concierge looks to create and work with ‘green champions' who can reach out into the community. We saw that the Rotary Club's commitment to raising ethical standards and providing service and support to the wider community are in keeping with what we want to achieve - individual action for the greater good.

Our Communities Team has presented to a number of Rotary Clubs to help them engage and understand the issues of climate change and what can be done. The feedback has been good:
